Hamburger-Stuffed French Bread

INGREDIENTS
- 1 loaf French Bread, unsliced
- 1 pound 96% lean ground beef
- ½ cup green pepper, finely diced
- ½ cup celery, finely sliced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (10.5 oz) can Cheddar Cheese Soup
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shreds
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice top ½ inch of French bread. Hollow remaining bread being careful to leave ½ inch of crust for shell. Tear bread that has been removed from center into pea-sized breadcrumbs to make 2 cups (there will be some bread left).
- Brown ground beef over medium heat until crumbled. Stir in remaining ingredients, except cheese shreds. Simmer 5 minutes. Gently stir breadcrumbs into meat mixture and place into bread shell. Sprinkle with grated cheese and replace bread top.
- Carefully wrap entire loaf in aluminum foil and bake on baking sheet for 10 minutes or until loaf in heated through.
- With bread knife, cut into 8 slices and serve.
