- 1 (3-1/2 pound) lean pork roast
- 1 teaspoons BBQ rub
- 1 (12oz) bottle of Coke (not diet)
- 1 (18oz) bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
- 12 whole wheat hamburger buns
- Rub pork with 1 teaspoon barbecue rub and place in slow cooker; pour Coke over the meat.
- Cover and cook on low until tender and pork shreds easily, about 8 hours.
- Remove pork from slow cooker and shred. Pour drippings into container and set aside.
- Place shredded pork back into slow cooker, add barbecue sauce and desired amount of drippings to get moist consistency; cook on low until heated through.
