Classic Hummus

INGREDIENTS
- 1 (15-ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/2 lemon, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine chickpeas, garlic, green onion, parsley, salt, pepper, and cumin in food processor bowl. Then add the tahini last.
- Pulse 2-3 times to rough chop.
- Set to puree continuously, and add olive oil then water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Add additional water if needed to achieve desired texture.
- Garnish with additional parsley and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper, if desired.
- Store in airtight container in the fridge.
