Baked Blueberry French Toast

INGREDIENTS
- 6 slices thick brioche bread, or 12 slices white bread, cut in 1/2 inch squares
- 1 pint fresh blueberries
- 5 eggs
- 1 ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, toss together bread and blueberries.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, syrup, vanilla, zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add melted butter and mix to combine. Pour egg mixture over bread and blueberries. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
